1. Damaged Door Gasket:
Well, a damaged or torn gasket can be one of the major reasons for your constantly running compressor. This is because torn or worn-out gaskets allow the warm and humid air to escape into the fridge. Hence, the compressor has to run more frequently to counter-balance the warm air and to maintain the normal temperature.

The function of defrost thermostat is to monitor the evaporator coil’s temperature. In the presence of a faulty thermostat, defrost heater will not trigger.
